| Interlingue Dictionary posted by Robert Winter on Feb. 22, Updated on Feb. 22 | How to write in Occidental I hope someone can assist me. I am sorry for writing in English. I do not yet know how to write in Occidental. I hope to learn Occidental. I wish to locate an English-Interlingue dictionary and an Interlingue-English dictionary. Do any such dictionaries exist? If not, a French-Interlingue dictionary would do. Alternatively, is the full text of "Radicarium Directiv del Lingue International (Occidental)" available anywhere, either online or in print? Thank you, Robert Winter |
| Strawdog arguments against using an international language. posted by Auliuniv on Jul. 27 2007, Updated on Jul. 12 2009 | Why are so many false and unreal arguments used against not only the idea of an IAL, but against specific languages? What is a strawdog? Basically it is an argument made up to look real, but in fact has no substance and is not real. But, it looks real. It's purpose? To make its "creator" look good by answering what appears to be a serious problem. But, it isn't a serious or real problem. What are these arguments? Here is the place to describe the "strawdogs" and explain why they aren't real. And, instead, replace them with real life answers to strawdog phantasies.

| Auxlang thinking posted by Cellus on Aug. 31 2007, Updated on Jan. 27 2008 | How to render material accessible There are those who feel it difficcult or un-necessary to register to this Auxlang community. I for one thought it was quite simple, but, as we all know, people are different. For those who don't want to register there is the European Occidental site where they can find occidental material easily etc. It is not impossible that there will be more material. Who knows.

| Modifications and other things. posted by Auliuniv on Aug. 26 2007, Updated on Aug. 26 2007 | Wayne asked about places more appropriate for discussing modifications. The answer is this. This site has the capability of starting forums, wikis, etc. And, each member can start one. However, I would suggest at this time a single forum and/or wiki should be started so we can get used to how things work. Then, after that, new ones can be added when it is felt there is a real need. So, to start things off, I'll start a forum for the site where these things can be discussed. I hope all who have an interest will add appropriate categories and topics. Bob |
| Problems with, or suggestions for auxlang.org posted by Cvi on Jul. 21 2007, Updated on Jul. 21 2007 | A very fundamental problem, probably without a real solution:
Everything is in English, menues, profile, help, etc. We have both an ideological problem - can't use the languages that are the subject of auxlang, and a practical one, that users of other main internet languages don't have a traduction, or at least a brief introduction with the fundamental instructions for use. |
